Environmental Steward Scholarship

The Coastal Plains Chapter of the Air and Waste Management Association
(AWMA) is proud to announce the formation of an environmental steward
scholarship for Okaloosa-Walton Community College. The $800 scholarship
shall be used for expense of tuition and fees per year and awarded on an
annual basis. The scholarship will be available to either first or second year
students for a study curriculum in either environmental science or physical
science. Award of the scholarship shall be made through a committee
consisting of at least one representative from OWCC and two members of the
Coastal Plains Chapter. The selection criteria for evaluation shall be the
following:


•Three letters of recommendation. No letters will be allowed from the members
of the selection committee.
• Grade point average of both high school and college.
• A 500 word paper on personal and professional goals.
