Project GreenShores
Did you know that several of our Chapter members have been or are currently volunteers in Project GreenShores? This program is designed to improve the water quality, and restore seagrass in Pensacola Bay. A joint partnership between Gulf Power and the FDEP, Project GreenShores, when completed in 2003, will have established a reef capable of filtering 10 million gallons of water per day. This reef will provide area students with an ideal location to study environmental conservation. This is a unique opportunity for people to get involved in changing the condition of our local waterways and the historical degradation of our resources.

QEP
Supporting organizations of the Institute of Professional Environmental Practice and its QEP certification besides A&WMA, include the Water Environment Federation, the American Industrial Hygiene Association, American Academy of Environmental Engineers, National Association of Environmental Managers, the National Association of Environmental Professionals and the Solid Waste Association of North America.
