Redundant Success
What can we say? Another successful Florida/Alabama Technical Conference
held May 9, 2003. Ms. Edith Ardiente, PE, QEP and V-P of Environmental Affairs at International Truck and Engine Corporation, as well as, President Elect of A&WMA International gave the keynote address. Her topic was “The Environmentally Responsible Corporate Citizen.” The success of our program was evident in the excellent technical presentations and the record number of vendors. We would like to again thank our Benefactor Sponsors: Sanders Engineering, Spectrum Services, Analytical Services, Thermo Electron, Gulf Coast Env. & Engineering/Eagle Environmental, STL, ENSR, Southern Environmental, and Waste Management, and of course, our host Gulf Power. Special thanks goes to our Conference Committee, especially our non-board members Rollanda Cothran and Joe Neese. Door prizes enticed everyone to stay until the end of the program – each member that has attended our conferences over the last few years should have won something by now, if not, there is always next year!

A&WMA International Conference
The 96th Annual A&WMA Conference and Exhibition was held in San Diego this year. Dwain Waters, QEP and Dennis Mitchell, QEP were our Chapter representatives. Go to www.awma.org to submit an abstract for next year’s conference, June 20-24, 2004 in Indianapolis.
