Pizza Party
Thursday, June 20, 2002 our General Members Business Luncheon was held at the Gulf Power corporate headquarters in Pensacola. Our Chapter treated members to a free pizza lunch and presentation by our guest speaker, Dr. Johan Liebens of the Department of Environmental Studies at the University of West Florida. Dr. Liebens spoke to us on the results of a recent study examining heavy metals contamination found in the sediments of stormwater retention ponds, roadside swales and from street sweepings. Members were treated to a variety of tasty pizzas while listening to the presentation and receiving Chapter business news and updates.

Due to the Florida Section and Southern Section meetings being held in September, our next luncheon/business meeting will be scheduled for October 17. We will keep you posted as to the location and speaker.
