2003 Annual Technical Conference Planning Session
D. Waters reported we have five (5) confirmed sponsors – four are “Benefactors” and one was at the “Patron” level. Sponsors are Sanders Engineering, Spectrum, Gulf Coast Environmental Services, Analytical Services Inc., Thermo Electron Corporation. We have 17 confirmed attendees at this point. Although several people may not be able to participate because of travel restrictions, the CLUs and PDHs are attracting some participants.

Edith Ardiente has been confirmed as our keynote speaker. She has sent us a summary of her presentation and her credentials. Her topic will be the “The Environmentally Responsible Corporate Citizen.”

The Technical Conference Planning List and list of Confirmed Speakers were reviewed (attached). The meeting location has been confirmed and the Informational Meeting Announcement has been sent out. D.Waters was asked to set-up a Gulf Power Representative to provide the Conference Welcome. The list of speakers and proposed time slots were discussed to formulate a Draft Agenda. Thirty-minute breaks will be given in the morning and the afternoon. The panel is currently set-up for 2 hours after lunch. We will reduce it to 1.5 hours. We have two backup speakers, Jim Norris (STL) and Dr. Ken Ede (American Airlines / Oklahoma University) who will be placed on the agenda.
